We've added the new feature of Pokémon pets which is unlocked at Level 7. (2646 EXP)
You'll be able to get your first egg for free. In terms of hatching/evolving, the amount of EXP you'll be needing is equal to the next form's BST multiplied by 2.
You can view your pets if you meet the level requirements with /pets. There are a variety of commands for pets as well, but you're better off following the buttons on the user interface (popups) to get around. The commands do get quite complex.
Here's an example a pet's screen.
Increasing your stats: These stats will be used in battle, you can increase each stat to give you an edge in battle. However, it will cost some money to boost the stats
Energy: this stat is required to add moves. The total BP of all the moves must be less than or equal to the energy. Every boost will cost more and more.
EvoLock™: A setting to prevent your pet from evolving, for those who specially like a form. It prevents accidental clicking on the evolution, as well as purpose /command use.
Select button: Once your pet has 4 moves, you can select it, and it will be your default battler. It will also appear on your profile.
Shinies: There is a 1/2048 chance of getting a shiny; there may be badges for this in the future.
Legendaries: We'll have events to give out these pets that aren't normally obtainable... Also.... how do you even get a Porygon.. ?!?? Porygon eggs can be obtained when some secret (staff wont tell you) conditions are met.
Slots: number of move choices you'll be given in battle, where moves are randomly selected. Try having duplicates of the same move in your movepool. Good things may happen :^). You're allowed as many moves as your energy permits. Each additional slot costs 500 monies.
Pet Battles:
Pet battles are done very differently in terms of mechanics compared to real battles. Damage formula is different, it's mainly damage oriented (with status, boosts, and flinch), meaning your Pet's skills mainly relies on the stats AND the damaging movepool only.
To be eligible to participate in pet battles, you'll need to have one pet with at least 4 moves, so you can click the [now blue] Select button.
To find matches, simply type /pb, and it will open the lobby for pet battles and show you a list of all users who are able to battle you
Each name leaks to their petbattle profile (/pb profile [name]) where it lists the user's win/loss record as well as their last 5 matches
In a battle, you're given a choice of 2 - 4 moves depending on how many slots your pet has (upgradable in /pets). If you have duplicates in the entire movepool, it will increase the basepower of your move slightly. If duplicates are within your "request" - the moves you are given for that turn, there will be a bigger boost in the base power. You can see this boost if you hover over each move; it will tell you the type, basepower and what the move is.

If you accidentally close your battle, you can resume it with /pb
